When is a good time to book a trial?
The answer is simple… when you are ready for one. I suggest that you have it done close to the date of your wedding so you know exactly what it is that you want. Over the seasons different looks and colours always change so what may have looked good to you a year ago, may not be as appealing now. On the day of the trial I like to know things like the colours of the dresses, flowers, jewellery…anything that can help me design a look that matches your colour scheme. I suggest booking a trial in the morning as this will allow for you to see just how well your makeup lasts into the evening. Another great idea is to have your makeup and hair trial the day of your hens night – this will really give you an idea of just how well your makeup will last the distance.
What do I need to do on the day of a trial?
I suggest that you have a hair trial on the same day as your makeup trial so you can really see what you will look like on the day. Also, please have any makeup images that you find appealing with you on the day as we will work any ideas you have into the look and feel of your makeup.
Do you use products for sensitive skin?
YES! All of the foundations/products I use are hypo-allergenic and are completely safe to use on sensitive skin. If a product cannot be used on a baby’s bottom I do not use it. I also use products with a built in sunscreen when available.
How do I secure my booking?
There is a $100 deposit required to secure the wedding date in my diary. This amount is taken off the total on the wedding day. Unfortunatly, due to booking demand we are unable to hold bookings without deporits due to the number of enquiries we recieve. To avoid disappointment it is advised to pay the deposit as soon as you can.
What happens if I have a large bridal party?
In these instances I work with another fully qualified makeup artist who I will arrange to join us for the day. This way if you have a large bridal party there is no chance that things will be rushed and you can all enjoy the day and relax.
Do you charge extra if you have to travel to my place?
We are based on the NSW Central Coast, so travel charges may apply if you need us in Sydney, the Hunter Valley or Newcastle. The same travel charges apply whether you choose makeup only, or makeup and hair styling. Travel charges are applied on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your needs. A surcharge may also apply for early morning starts and public holidays, this is also based on a case by case basis.
